yes they're pretty solid animals. i suggest buying a rubber fishing net. that way they dont get stuck.

You must have seen a couple of my cases Jim? Once with the male henlei breeding attempt gone bad being stabbed in the eye socket and her barb stuck in there and the other time in the last year my Orbignyi swallowed a huge bard and it penetrated out one of her eye sockets?

Went years no problem until he wouldn’t leave the rays alone and stressed them out bad! I went years disregarding warnings but now I’m the one giving the warnings.

It happens. My male will sometimes go months before breeding her. But he is catching on now with time and seems to be more horny than he use to be.

You’re probably referring to my henlei who held her pups 200 days.

woke up yesterday morning to 3 Orbignyi x Henlei pups in the 300 gallon tank. i shuffled rays around to make room for them and went to work. then i came home from work to find 2 Pure Henlei pups in the 1200 gallon with all the big guys. they had made it past the big divider and were in a corner...

Small update on the 3 girls. The 200 day gestation seems to have taken a toll on 2 if them that have been the worst ever rays I’ve ever kept for feeding reasons. But they’ve come around! The darkest one took to pellets almost immediately while the other 2 are still very touchy with even most raw...
