1st day of FW Ecology Lab cichlid ID
Wow that salvini is awesome!!! Not sure on the ID. Wish I could take ecology classes like that. Up here in NY just stuck with same old brook, brown and rainbow trout, perch and bass lol- F1sh Addict

Salvini sick! covered in white blotches.
What is it? Its been on him for about 4 days now. Started with spot on dorsal fin. Im treating with melafix, pimafix, salt, and high temps + lots of oxygen supply. Red Terror or Red tiger motaguense. I had a really mean Oscar once. Only agressive oscar I have seen. Killed my blue acara, firemouth and EBJD- F1sh Addict

New here, Starting a 90g tank for a single large CA/SA specimen
If I had an empty 90, I would put a big managuense in there. Another awesome less common fish would be a Vieja Zonatus! Cool fish! Other possibilities would be a red terror or a red tiger motaguense... they are smaller but just as nasty- F1sh Addict

How do you afford so many tanks?
Buy used is my best advice! I'm only 19, a full time college student and have a 75, 30 and a 10 gallon going. You can find great deals on craigslist. The cost of a 55 gallon tank is roughly 5 dollars a month as far as electricity goes so I have been told. Sent from my iPhone using...- F1sh Addict
