Cool thanks! I've only kept some of the smaller versions and none of them were real interested in the substrate, but that's a big guy in a big tank.

Is the gravel his work or just how it landed when you put it in?

If my tank can't run for 6 months without me doing anything other than topping off water, tossing some food in every couple of weeks, and maybe ripping out plants I have failed as a fishkeeper.

I feed a pond by me and you 100% can train Bullheads to come out and feed during the day. I love Bullheads, good luck with this.

I prefer Malaysian Trumpet Snails in my planted tank, Bladder Snails don't sift and stir the substrate. They're more visible though.

Honestly I don't believe we can give a reliable opinion without seeing more of the Fahaka. Real answer: get one and try a drop of vinegar on it. If it fizzes it'll probably dissolve.

If you feel like you have too many just pull a bunch out by hand every morning until the population is under control. They're good at eating organic waste and substrate stirring. They're awesome in planted tanks.

This would make a great river tank for Plecos or Loaches etc. Or a great tank for the smaller Polys.

Black 150g Stand in good condition, not much more to say about it. Helping a friend get this out of their garage before they move.

Not a great pic but they're both still alive and slowly getting bigger and developing more color. They're also getting a lot less shy and acting like tiny little cichlids should. They don't always disappear when I get near the tank and they're starting to beg for food like the rest of the fish.

I got to spend 4 years raising and observing a super rare fish and I have an accurate cause of death that shows the rest of my fish are in no danger. I'm sad that I lost it but mildly happy that it wasn't because of anything I did or didn't do. Cancer is awful. :( I just wish it was...
