@isde02 those are similar to mine but mine have alot more spangling on the tail and the larger bass is developing a second smaller eye on his tail below the larger gold eye

Yup, mine watch the tv. I never noticed until she posted that. Ive noticed now that Everytime my tv comes on the bass go to that side and watch it.

Thay tank looks awesome, wish i had that driftwood. Are you sure these guys are kelberi? They look very similar to mine and i was under the impression mine were mono.

Thanks bud. He's turning out nicely. I hope my smaller bass turns out as nice. The little guy is showing some nice spangling on his tail. These are by far my favorite fish that I've kept.

I see monster long nose like this in lake st. Clair but I've never been able to get them to bite. What'd you catch it on?

There is a resemblance between pbass and largemouth so i can see where that common name came from. Also, from what I've read, the pbass and the sunfish family, which includes largemouth bass, are thought to derive from the same "ancient saltwater perch".

Gator gar, he'll be a monster one day.

I know the the vene is not a "pike" but like you said that is the common name. I have kept the gar with these cichlids for over a year now with no problem. He has put on alot of weight and eats just as good as all the other fish. I have seen several pbass, gar and bowfin community tanks on these...

I think the pike did think the bowfin was a pike. At first it was all over it, rubbing and vibrating his fins. I should have rearranged the tank first, usually i do but i haven't had any issues with adding any other fish so I thought it'd be ok. It sucks to lose a beautiful fish but now i know...
