Silver dollars might trample over/frighten your small fish, and I'm not sure I'd consider them peaceful. Mine bit chunks off each other during dominance battles, and by the way they eat, I wouldn't be surprised if they see neons as food.

Green water in and of itself is not harmful. It's just floating algae, it won't hurt your fish and it should go away after a bunch of big water changes. It just means there were a lot of nutrients available.

If he's swimming normally, he's fine. Just keep the water as clean as possible until it heals, and be sure to feed him plenty.

Beautiful show fish! I wonder what they think of the attention? They probably know that people are around, but they don't look stressed. Except for a couple of the ones that looked like they ran into a wall at 70mph.

Have you considered trying to teach him some kind of trick? Maybe get him to jump up and take food from a stick, swim through a hoop, or something of the sort. Or maybe get him to swim up into a shallow area so you can inspect him easily in future?
