    Need a new bottom feeder!

Sounds like a doradide would be your best option. Plenty around oxydoras. Bacu or meglodoras, even lithodoras if you’re so lucky to find one. A large catfish that grows at a steady space, great clean up crew and won’t eat tank mates .

    2 lithodoras dorsarlis grow out.

Managed to entice him out of the wood with some pellet. Managed to catch a short video to show the tail. Bottom picture is of normal lithodoras, from the same batch. Passed details to the dark one, (S.grant) for some insight. He’s doing some digging.

More then enough just lately. Just an influx. I believe all the bans what where once in place have been lifted now. Hence the influx.

Yes. The weathers been awful just lately with all the storms we’ve had, I now have a 2acre lake in my garden from flood water , always wanted a pond ! pricey indeed, I must admit. I didn’t want to quite spend that, but I’m hoping they will be worth the investment, they get quite a nice size...

    2 lithodoras dorsarlis grow out.

3 more came in for me. Including a very unusual one, that I was given for free! Due to its paint brush tail. Unlike the normal forked tail. I’ve tried my best to capture a quick picture, I’m sure in time I shall capture it abit better.

A new addition , haven’t seen these before. Huge price tag for a doradide. (£450 each) I couldn’t resist though. Will add better pictures when they’ve settled. some more rare doradides have landed for me. (2 large centrodoras) Although, supplier is away in holiday. So I will be collecting at a...

    Identification

Yes. I’ve seen this floating around myself in the past. A fair few more years then I’d like to remember. I can 100% say it’s not a Learius , nor pati. It’s could be a sub sp of jurense, maybe a catch location related thing. Similar to the bright yellow meglodoras what are coming from one area...

    2 lithodoras dorsarlis grow out.

Ahh. I see. Most unusual, let’s hope there’s not an underlying issue. Can’t say I’ve observed mine doing the same.

    2 lithodoras dorsarlis grow out.

I find mine doing this also. I don’t find it odd. Bacu and oxydoras have always done the same in my own tanks. Oddly often found around midwater level. Just relaxing in the current, even the larger oxydoras did this. Great to hear yours are doing well and growing.

Guys. What’s are all your sizes now? I have one at 10” and 2 around the 12-13” mark? One in particular is always responsive as soon as I walk into the fish room. Up the glass, around the surface, extremely greedy. This is the largest one aswell. Ive tanned the water in there tank. This has made...
