I disagree. I've had pristine water in a heavily stocked 75 gallon with two HOBs. It's better, yes but he doesn't need to go buy an additional filter. Just do what you're doing. The additional bio media should do great.

Don't personally feed fish. My fish have always seemed to prefer trout worms (small nightcrawlers) and the very occasional cricket as a treat.

Yes, I have no issue with Petsmart partnering with cat rescues to help them get adopted but dogs don't do as well in that environment and shouldn't live that way. We do alot of work for a local dog rescue so I despise puppy mills.
