    Any umbee experts?

They don't grow particularly fast IMO- my WC male has been with me since 3" and now about 3 years. had a 75 alone for 2 yrs and 125 alone for the last year. he's like 14", 4" tall and super friendly. Remember these are long lived fish, the grow throughout their entire lives and the listed max...

    Your least favorite fish

Tropheus arent' easy to cohab with other fish aside from the tang gobies as they also eat greens. to me they are just like mbuna but more difficult. i've started with 24 of the same sp to end up with 1 on 2 occasions. fronts are the reason i bought my first 6 foot tank and boy was i...

Two Red Bay Snooks arriving tomorrow?

great alternative to parachromis species and like to hang in groups. personable fish from my own experience just without a lot of the baggage that comes with some centrals. Wish the reds were available, always wanted a mixed group of greens and reds.

Tank size for Oscar and Pleco

150's and 125's are essentially the same tank, one with more height. its like saying a 210 is better than a 180, its not. I would only get 1 and I'd do a captive bred line, not wild. Just sold my 3 & 5 yr old wild caughts. the 5yr old was 3" wide, 15" long and 7" inches tall, they could barely...

    Red Head Tapajos

the red heads like being in groups, thats a large aquarium why not add 5 or more red heads and fill it out. more activity could help but so could line of sight breaks or increased flow.

Sadly, this was the last the MFK community would hear from R3dBullXXX. Some say they are still wandering around down there and to listen for banging in your pipes.

    Me and my bike

I've got a great old towne fishing kayak, broad enough to stand in. i do wish it had the peddle mechanism which can make it easier to get into tight spots without disturbing the water so much. Last night i was scooting around ( i have a moped i use alot in the spring/summer/fall) ended up in...

    Me and my bike

I grew up in the woods and nature to me is home, there is something very unnatural and uncomfortable about cities to me. it's like a sense doom. Potential Future Tankmates: I'm worried...opinions please.

I keep a 20” tropical gar with cichlids and others ranging in sizes from around 6”-15” if you got it eating pellets and well fed I doubt there will be an issue without a huge size disparity, as in the warmouth we’re like 2” If you’re worried look at the width of the gars throat- that being said...
