Can anyone identify this CLEAR WORM??

Thanks for the suggestion comparing my picture to a “phantom midge” that I found on google, they look quite similar. No idea how it got there. Since my fish isn’t eating I guess, if it is a midge, it’s safe.

Can anyone identify this CLEAR WORM??

Hey Guys I have a completely see through clear looking worm in my hospital tank. I have been treating a sick paratalapia Cichlid with an unknown issue for weeks now doing seperate treatments of melafix, paragaurd, Kanaplex and salt. Oddly enough the filter just stopped working yesterday but I...

    CAN ANYONE ID THIS ILLNESS??

He didn’t respond to the Kanaplex after the three rounds of doses (20G tank = 4 scoops every 2 days for 3 days). Should I be trying the Paraguard next? @Rocksor or any others have ideas? Thanks in advance

    CAN ANYONE ID THIS ILLNESS??

What should my water temperature be while using kanaplex? Should I turn off my bubbler or crank it up to oxygenate? Do I still feed my fish etc? Any info on the best practise for this treatment would be appreciated.

    CAN ANYONE ID THIS ILLNESS??

Any help would be much appreciated. My Madagascar Cichlid has some skin lesions and white spots that occur randomly over his body. It doesn’t appear to be Ich and I originally treated it with a salt bath and then repeated water changes while adding salt. My fish is in a 20G hospital tank now...

    Drip system. Fool proof ?

Sorry for the delay I was in México! Sounds like your set for advice from what I can read. As far as the well goes typically you won’t have spikes of high pressure as your pressure switch will shut off the pump when it reaches the set “cut off” pressure. If the pressure switch fails the pump...

    Drip system. Fool proof ?

Yes you could just open it slightly exactly how my first valve is opened slightly which regulates the flow/pressure. If you really want to use a regulator though and find one that your happy with most emitters I found work best with an incoming pressure of 25-50 PSI as @twentyleagues...

    Drip system. Fool proof ?

I am a plumber so I can say I definitely agree using the piercing valves always at some point give you a leak. I never added hot water to temper my drip however I have noticed my heaters are either not working properly or they just can’t keep up. The alarm on my ink bird controller has been...

It’s all good these threads get long and confusing haha.

    Drip system. Fool proof ?

I personally just use a series of ball valves. I think I outlined it in page 3 of this thread. I know others have had success with regulators but if it’s made of plastic and costs $10 I’m not risking it. I really liked @HarleyK idea of simply adapting to a faucet if you aren’t going to treat...

    Drip system. Fool proof ?

I tried a few of those regulators from HD and both failed to work. Yes your pressure switch dictates the pressure in your entire house, but will have no impact on the pressure you choose to regulate for your drip, as I’m assuming you don’t want to dial your entire house down to 25PSI or less.

Anyone have this in their sump?????

Thanks for the great responses guys. Glad to hear it’s a common problem and not something I was or wasn’t doing. I will shut my pumps off and clean it as best I can periodically. Do you think the mulm/build up on the heaters in my sump will reduce their efficiency? You would think so, at least...

Anyone have this in their sump?????

I have some sort of buildup on the base of my sump, different thin layer on the side walls and then more stuff on the surface of the water that has less movement. If you are able to identify the issue how would I clean it or prevent it from developing further? My water goes through a sediment...

Can anyone identify these white spots??

Doesn’t appear to be getting worse and upon inspection today I see a bit of loose skin above the lip. I think the theory of damage due to contact or disagreement with another fish is most likely the case. I really appreciate your input guys.

Can anyone identify these white spots??

He won’t stop moving tough to get a good picture. I’m probably over reacting and it’s just some skin or something. Thanks
