Dats can handle a ph of up to 7.5 and i prefer to keep all my fish with regular tap water for stability over buffering the water so they would be in the same conditions if I kept either one
I wanted to know if anyone had any knowledge of keeping predator haps with other predators like datnoids, my main worry was water conditions but since I live in London the water is just over neutral so all fish are kept in the same water. Would the combination of predatory haps and datnoids...
What about if I don’t do the Texas cichlid tank what tank mates would you reccomend with the loisellei as I definitely want him, I thought about red terrors, Midas, jd, oscar, green terrors I like all of them but suggest any others. Also would 3 large cichlids work in that size tank one...
Ok so I’ll add all the fish at once then but if many of you think it won’t work would a loisellei pair and another pair of cichlids work in a 125 or a pair of loisellei with other cichlids
I m going to get them all small but what I was gonna do is let the loisellei establish in the tank first the n are the texas so the loisellei has a territory
Eels, bichirs, knife fish, hujeta gar, leaf fish, predatory catfish, snakeheads, wolf fish, there are lots of options but not many mid or top water fish so if I were you I would go for some sort of predatory cichlid like an oscar as a mid water fish
I know this is a bit of a long shot but has anyone done a texas cichlid community tank like six of them and did it work out, I wanted to recreate something like that in my 125 with maybe 3 of them and another large cichlid, I thought about a parachromis loisellei. I once saw a tank like this and...
i have a 125 with clown loaches currently and wanted to get a Veja synspilum. Would he work with the clown loaches and what other fish could I keep, I have a chocolate cichlid in the tank as well. Would the veja work with him or would I need to sell him. Could I have a group of live bearers In...
I have the clowns and silver dollars already but I wanted really want to have an oscar too, the silver dollars are almost maxed out but the clowns are all about 4 inches
I have a 6ft 130 with 8 clown loaches, 6 silver dollars, 1 sajica cichlid, 1 rusty pleco and a Oscar. This is just theoretical but would it be overstocked, if not what else could I have or how long will it be before it becomes overstocked.
The tank is already set up, I will try the mopani wood with the java fern and the African fern, I already have some java and crypts as testers and they seem to be doing fine
