    I prefer lighter setups since I only do inshore fishing ... I use med-heavy rods (up to 20lbs) and 3000-5000 reels ... 20-30lb braid with a 30-40lb fluoro leader. It's fun even fishing the smaller to med snooks.

    I got the peacock bass and snakeheads out of my system .... now I'm on to BIGGER and better fighting fishes, like SNOOKS =)

    i'm sure...fish and game have support to enforce the strict regulations....old white guys who fish with us...nothing more effective for preventing poaching of fish than mean old white guys that stare you down as you reel in fish lol

    no...clown knives are located boca to west palm area....more in boca and boyton... miami is know for pbass...cichlids broward has pbass and cichlid in the south and central region and snakeheads in the central and northern region snook and tarpon is all over but are elusive and people keep...

    you should...surprisingly active for this time of year...might be a great year as we get warmer... Caught these big boys in a gated community...my friend's parents live in there and very little if any fishing pressure and appearantly the lakes are deep enough to protect them from the cold snaps...

    I'm a Shimano fan as well as well as G. Loomis lol The CI4+ 4000 and 2500 are both good reels...other than weight reduction, the performance is comparable to the regular Stradics...I also have a Quantum Smoke PT40...also a great reel...

    oh and the snook and large mouth bass made the so call florida grand slam ... bass, peacock, and snook/tarpon ... it was a small slam since the snook was small lol ... but the large pbass-es made up for it i guess lol
