I’ve had this fish a few months. I decided I would add the pair of jags in with it. The jags are a bit smaller. One didn’t make it. He left one alone. The female. So my question is...is the Dovii male?

I do think the tables will turn eventually. FH are more aggressive. Tbh I’m not in love with the Salvini either. I do love my Jags though. But I’d rather have Dovii’s. So I may make that change.

They’re in a 55 right now. I have a 125 but it’s not setup yet. Will do that this weekend. The 55 is suitable for now because of their size. I also have a 75 that I’ll be putting the Flowerhorns in by themselves til they get bigger.

The Salvini is the boss as of now. The Jags are second behind him then the Flowerhorns. As I see now they all seem to coexist in the same tank. They seem to know the chain of command they have in place at the moment.

I recently purchased 2 Flowerhorn juveniles about 2” long. Can I add them to my main tank with juvenile green terror, 2 juvenile jags about 3 1/2” long and a Sardini about 4 1/2” long? The jags are trying to bully them as of now.

Your Dovii is very nice looking. I may have to get a male. I absolutely love their look and behavior.

thanks. I put him in there and just like I figured, he’s being bullied by my green terror. Everywhere he goes, the GT is right behind him. At first they all had to get a good look at him, but they backed off eventually.

You think so? I want a male but not from the same place because of the chances of them being siblings. Males are most beastly. That’s what I want. Definitely won’t be in this 55g too long.

Well my Dovii arrived today and it’s in quarantine at the moment with my convict. I’m thinking I may want one more. My convict is bullying him around the hospital tank lol. They’re both 3-4”

Thanks guys. The water is cloudy because I’m medicating the tank. I have a convict in there and it seems as though he has parasites. A white stringy poop or parasite. So I’m medicating the whole tank to keep the other fish from getting it. I don’t be really plan on keeping them all together...
