I have a 150g with a RD, 2 Jags, Salvini, FH, Oscar and a couple of cons its been ok so far but i have a feeling it wont be too long before someone decides to have a proper go at the RD and gets wacked. Steve

Now i know why you said its messy, My oscar only consumes 25% of the food that he puts in his mouth the rest gets blown back into the tank.

What type of cichlids have you fed the banana to?

Might be ok short term while you find a better home for it but more than likely it will get shreded. Hate to be a member of the overstock bunch but you will need to get a bigger tank than a 55 for your stock list.

The Dorsal fin may grow back over time depending on how much damage has been done, Face looks ok from the pic. I used to have a pair but the female got wacked by a GT:irked:. Not sure what others have experienced but mine have been slow growers:(. Steve

My Midas does the same thing sometimes when im close to the tank. He has been doing this for ages and then follows it up by falring at me or throwing gravel around the tank. I think its just his way of letting me know that i'm invading his territory. Steve
