Curu it is! Here in japan we have a fairly good selection, but they also tend to be a bit on the expensive side. A 20-25cm specimen is around 300-500us$...

I do like my two eheims, a 2260 and a 2250 The pumps still work perfectly, but they are not exactly what you’d call power efficient... So I was wondering if it would be possible to use a DC pump instead?

Fish are driven by their instincts and while it may work for a time, even a single rbp will eventually start attacking other fish.
