Very nice tank! Glad I never tore my 600G down like the wife wanted! Just got a new job and double the pay I think setting it back up again might be my Christmas present to myself. You must keep them fed pretty well for that Flathead to stay away from those crayfish.

To the OP, you cant be serious! You actually thought chubs would be OK with a pickerel? Let me guess you have a hard time distinguishing between predator and prey...

What exactly is a tropical temp? And I don't remember him ever specifying a temperature that he kept his fish at. I think this has more to do with people trying to be know it all's. This thread has been derailed .

Wow whats with all the hate? And afaik logperch, bass, grass pickerel and hog sucker ranges all extend deep into the south where the water gets pretty warm.. year round....

Most sunfish aren't picky at all and will eat just about anything. Cichlid pellets or any high quality pellet will do just fine. Good luck with it they can be very fun fish! I had some in my 600 and it wasn't long before I was hand feeding them with my arm in the water holding freeze dried...

I would scratch that entire stock list and really do some more research on every fish you might think you want in there before dumping them in. You have all predators except the sturgeon but its the pike I would worry about killing the rest of your stock. Remember its not only a dog eat dog...

Your gar is Stunted beyond belief.... If you have had him over a year and he can still fit in a 5 gallon bucket like that then something is defiantly wrong with the way you are keeping him. Underfed and his tank and pond are too small. BTW Alligator gar are native much further north than where...

Washed out Florida gar patterns don't matter. Jardini aren't typically a good tank mate for any fish, most can be quite ill tempered.
