there are 5 in the tank now 2 that i raised from fry and three more that i found at the fish store for cheap they are all about the size of my hand from tip to tail
the feeder is a convict and there is also a large pleco in with them all
i had 2 rbps together for over a year and never had any problems with aggression the also live with a large pleco and convicts though(the pleco has never been seriously harmed)
i make my own food mix for my guys that has whole shell and head on shrimp, smelt(whole with all the guts and bone and skin),chicken liver/kidney, and spinnach and carrots.
they also get whole shrimp and wild venision heart every now and then
i havent fed the new guys yet but tomorrow im going to start them on some super color food to help thicken them up and give them some color. I'm thinking i might try to feed them like 1 or 2 grams of food every half hour to 45 min untill they wont eat any more and do this for a week or so them...
since the new ones looked a little beat up and had some abrasions and fin nips i put them on their own with some meds just to make sure they are allright and dont get spike and earl sick (the other 2)
the tank they are in had been empty since i moved the other two rbp's i have into the 90 gal and i hadent done a gravel vac or anything so when i put them in there was alot of mess that came up from the gravel and the entire top of the tank is covered with water lettuce so thats what all the...

To those thinkin g about doing a planted set up with p's, I have a few pieces of advise(by no means am i a profesional) I like to start my plants in another aquarium and then transplant them...
i have loaded my tank with sword plants (12 plants that are pretty big) the piranha seem to only bite the leaves that wave out into their swimming paths and with enough ligh and ferts the plants grow way more then the piranha can damage
any time i add new convicts they try to stake out a territory and the RBP's put them in their place pretty qiuck
I figure other then that i lose one or 2 a week and im sure thats part of the reason that the piranha dont bother fighting with each other
as far as keeping 2 RBP"S together; I have...
