My hardest fish ever to catch would be 2 kihli loaches out of a heavily planted tank or maybe a convict out of a planted 4'2'2 with lots of driftwood and rocks. Convict was SO hard to catch, got very wet.:) That was a less than and inch long convict, BTW

With guppies if the females wernt seperated from the males when young they are almost definietly pregnant even if the havnt been with males for a while. Hence why if you are breeding good guppies you need virgin females.

Make sure you are careful with the silicon because some like the ones used in bathrooms are pigmented or have other things in them that can leech out and kill fish (don't worry, thankfully, not first hand experience).

Just be careful not to have the algea crash the tank when it dies. Lost a $60 guppy trio plus another $30 worth of gups because of an algea bloom in summer.

What about a few blood parrots and a nice pleco. If you dont like hybrids you could get severums or some other large cichlid. Maybe Discus if you like them(sounds a bit like my stocking list for my 120):).

Im you were a game fisherman you could come down to the south pacific and catch a Black Marlin. Biggest bony fish in existence. Or you could get the smaller blue marlin which is directly before it.

He might not be able to practice the actual breeding but you CAN practice raising fry and livebearers are good for that. Obviously mollies are going to be easier to raise than discus so it is good not to go straight to something hard to breed first try.

Just in case you don't know, the way to tell the difference between a male and and female molly is that the male has a rod shaped anal fin wile the females is normal. If you do have a male and female just wait for around a month :) .
