I'm just wondering if its safe to add discus to an allready established tank with discus allready in it. I only have one in there right now as my other one died a week ago and I wish to add either one or two more if its safe to do so.

If it has a swim bladder infection is there any way to actually cure that or is it more treat with antibiotics and hope for the best.

So my knifefish has been out of control lately. It seems that it has lost it's ability to swim normal. It goes upside down and is constantly going up to the surface and when it does it usually spins around like a top then it just drops and sits on the bottom for a long time. I have no idea...

My pH is a 6.8 whenever I check it but I dont think its going to matter much anymore my knife is know sitting upside down on the bottom breathing heavily I dont know what else to do.

No idea why its low, but Im assuming that may be the problem with my knifefish Hes been going berserk swimming upside down swimming vertical while spinning and thats the only thing I can find wrong with the water.

How do I get my alkalinity up?

Here are results of my water tests if that helps. Nitrate- 60 Nitrite- 0 Hrdness- 75 Alkalinity- 0 and pH- 6.8. Also I just did a water change 2 days ago. And added some highgrow plants over a week ago. Other than that there has been no new additions to the tank or a change in anything.

Not to my knowledge the tank is against a wall with two of my other tanks the nearest electrical thing is about 6 feet away against an opposite wall.
