yep, i still have the fahaka he's doing well, is about 1ft. long and eating entire small crabs in seconds. have to get some updated pics/video once my camera is fixed.

my fahakas diet: market shrimp freeze dried shrimp crayfish red-claw crab market crab leg mussel earthworm

my fahaka (about 6 inches) is in a 120gal by herself with 2 ac110s and a rena XP1 for polishing i do a 30% water change once every 2 weeks, but i only feed 2x a week

yeah i always read about fahakas not tolerating any tankmates, yet i threw a 'feeder' goldfish in with my fahaka like 3 months ago (it was a feeder that my crays couldnt catch for some reason) and she hasnt touched it IMO Fahakas are a little more tolerant than is believed

its just a regular 55gal acrylic tank

yeah i will be keeping as many as I can in the 55gal they are housed in

thanks everyone i bought these crays from the market where they were being sold as food...they had a hard life, but hopefully i can give the babies a good home and keep them breeding as a food source for my fahaka

thanks goes to synodontisjack for directing me to info on breeding i was down to 2 crays and they just happened to be a male/female the female killed the male yesterday :( but i got babies :) excuse the tank...its just an old acrylic tank i had lying around and wanted to try...

yeah, i havent had any personal experience with a congo puffer ive just read that sometimes burrowing can be from being spooked and having nowhere else to hide

there are plenty species of fish that 'can' be kept in freshwater but, humans 'can' survive eating oats and water...just because something is alive does not mean its healthy and/or happy

have a 4" marbled pleco with my 4" fahaka at the moment the pleco rarely moves, and ive never seen any interaction
