isnt salt for external things? I would treat with parasite meds first, then after treat with salt (to kill of any remaining), ( or vice versa but not at the same time) wait for the pros to chime in tho

if you use sand, and have only a thin layer. you wont need vacuming! rays will move it around for you!

see how the SALT goes first, before adding any other chemicals. SALT only works when the TEMP has been increased. Give it a Few Days, it should be fine. If they still remain, please check the meds you use, as most are not suitable for Rays

yea you should be able to get away with 3ft wide for life, but keep in mind motoros have the abaility to grow about 3ft wide. So a 3.5 - 4ft tank would be BEST- if possible that is. Sumps are cheap if you do them your self, so you should go for a SUMP with quality media, - look in the DIY...

hey if it cost 1 water change a week, to not have to worry about wtf is going on in the tank. thats way less time spent on maintenance in my eyes. takes around 20 min for me.

same loads and loads of matrix. for the clean water effect, use purgion in another small canister or something / i put it just before my pump in the sump.
