    Starting first saltwater tank.

Yeah, as far as damsels go the green chromis is good looking and gets along well with most other fish. One of the best starter fish, imo.

    Aquatic turtle species???

I love spiny soft shells. Should be fine if you give it a landing to climb out onto once in a while.

Damn near lost my bubble tip today

About a month ago I went to my favorite LFS to grab a sweet looking maroon clown to be the center piece of my 29g mini reef. When I went to pick it up the clerk threw in a free bubble tip that was already hosting him since I spend mad $$$ there each month. After a few days he picked his spot and...

    fish for noobies

Green chromis damsels are great starter fish. Attractive and far less aggressive than other damsels.

    4' 4 bulb T5 fixture

Not sure if they're high output or not. Seems like a really good deal which naturally makes me skeptical. Might work for a planted tank, not so sure about reef. Ditch the light difuser and it might work.

What to do with remaining LR?

How much rock are we talking about here? I know you said you don't want to setup anymore tanks, but you can always grab a couple cheap 10gs from Wal-Mart or Petco and start some cool nanos.

    Harpoon Fishing in the Congo

I agree with this and would go so far as to say that I even have a problem with people like certain Eskimo villages who hunt whales in limited numbers out of tradition and not out of need. If they were hunting them to feed and provide for their tribe then that's one thing. Continuing to hunt...

My neighbor wants to give me a 20X20 pool

Yup. Exotic Aquariums rocks. Check out Aqua Culture on Belvedere in South Sac too. Aqua Culture has the absolute cleanest setup I have ever seen. Real nice staff too.

My neighbor wants to give me a 20X20 pool

Aqualife in Rocklin gets baby sturgeon in all the time. Not sure which part of Sac you're in, but it's certainly worth the drive. They're saltwater specialists, but they have some nice freshwater stuff too.

    What was your first fish?

I had a Convict and my sister had a Blue Acara in my dad's 29g that I got to see two weekends out of the month when he had custody of us. He kept spending money on neons and other community fish that our cichlids promptly killed.

My neighbor wants to give me a 20X20 pool

Hell yeah bro, a native pond would rock. Of course, our lakes and streams have been raped to the point that real nor cal "natives" are pretty much non-existent but there's still plenty of cool stuff out there to catch. We had a few nights this winter where it dipped below freezing, but nothing...

    ALL LIMA SHOVELNOSE CATFISH KEEPERS

I've long been a fan of the Lima. I haven't actually owned one, but back when I first started getting into fish I was in an LFS and watched in amazement as I saw a 4" Lima chow down on a 4" Clown Knife. It was surreal.

I usually see green spotted puffers, dragon gobies, albino bichirs, oscars, pacu, ID sharks, Colombian cats, tinfoil barbs and various Africans at my Wal-Mart.

    Large catfish and pond liners

Anyone had any success doing this? I recently began turning my garage into a fish room and I'm going to build an 8x8x3 above ground pond similar to what BOTR did. I was planning on stocking some cichla and maybe an RTC or a TSN but was worried about potential tears in the liner. Any info is...
