Red-eared slider tank setup. Input welcomed.

Yeah, sometimes no substrate is the best option, as it's easier to clean. Although it doesn't look very nice. River rocks are pretty cool to, although they sometimes are a pain to clean.

    Turtle hatchlings and eating...

Recently my 3 RES hatchlings stopped showing interest in their hatchling food. So I went out and bought zoo med reptisticks for them, which they seem to love. However, they are a little large, and I don't want the turtles to choke. Is it okay for them to be eating these? Thanks

    Diving beetles and fish...

Man, I have like a MILLION questions today!!!! I was wondering if anybody had experience with diving beetles, they seem like pretty cool little guys. But my biggest question is: Can they be kept with fish? Thanks!

    RES??

Ha, that's awesome! Nice turtles, too! :) What would you say the growth rate for RES's are? When mine got here, they were pretty small. It seems mine have gotten a little bit bigger.

    RES??

Ok, cool:D Although I did notice one more thing that I'm wondering. Two of these guys have darker colored shells, while another one is much more green. Is this a bad sign, or am I just needlessly worrying?

    RES??

Oh, okay. That makes sense. The reason why I'm mostly concerned is because I want them to get enough heat/uvb, because I hear it's usually best to keep the lights on from 8-10 hours, which is what I do.

    RES??

I've had them for about a week, I should mention. I hear babies/hatchlings can be more skittish than juveniles or adults, is this true?

    RES??

I recently got these baby red ear sliders. Very cool, their eating swimming, etc... They are also basking. However, when I walk into the room where they are, they immediately dive into the water and start swimming. I feel bad because I wish they would realize that they don't need to get all...

    2.5 gallon tank?

Hmmmm. I'm thinking killifish now, seeing as they sound pretty cool. Which one's do you guys think would work best in a 2.5 gallon and how many? Also on the albino frogs, I they are ACF's. However, in VA their illegal to own.

    2.5 gallon tank?

Yeah, I realized they were african clawed frogs, as there are apparently no albino dwarf frogs sold currently. Strange, since their illegal to own in VA. Killifish are very cool and colorful, but I hear they only live a very short time.

    2.5 gallon tank?

Ha, I would, but it would look somewhat...empty. I'm thinking dwarf frogs or guppies.

    2.5 gallon tank?

Hey, I used to love sea monkeys when I was a kid!

    2.5 gallon tank?

These all seem like some pretty good ideas. LFS is selling albino dwarf frogs, they look pretty cool. Guppies and bettas are an option, too. Do you think I could mix the guppies and dwarf frogs or just keep them separate?

    2.5 gallon tank?

Lol, theres probably not much to do with this, but I have a 2.5 gallon tank, and was wondering what I could do with it? I have some gravel, plastic plants, and a whisper power filter that filters 30-40 gallons. What could I do with this?

    Good beginner turtles?????

Hey! I am thinking about setting up a turtle tank, but I want to know what the best turtles for a beginner are. So... 1. What species would you guys recommend the most? 2. I've been doing some research, and I'm thinking musk turtles or painted turtles. 3. What about keeping any turtles with...

    water snakes???

I MIGHT have a chance to go out today and get some stuff that I may need, not sure if I can, but MIGHT be able to. At the moment I have a 5,29, and 55, but most places that sell them sell babies, so is there a possibility that it could go in the 29 as a growout, and then transfer it to the 55?
