    Male Short Bodied Red Texas

    available For Trade is my male SBRT ... had him for about 2 years now ... nice size (about 8"), nice fins, nice color ... I think he's a beaut, but I'm shifting towards more small- to medium-size cichlids in my tank, and having this guy in there limits what I am able to add I am in Palm Beach...

    What to put with a male green terror?

    I agree with previous post ... I don't think a GT is a good choice for your 55 gallon tank ... you could go with a Blue Acara (similar fish, but smaller) or a variety of combinatons of Firemouth, Convict, Rainbow or other small- to medium-sized cichlids

    Brazilian Pennywort

    I have this plant ... I got one small plant (for free) from my LFS, and since then I now have it growing in five different planted tanks ... in other words, it is really easy to grow, and it grows fast in big tanks I let it float on the surface, weeding out a portion of it every few weeks ...

    question?

    I appreciate your thinking that, but I've seen more than enough posts on this site to never assume someone has "the proper size" tank ... :grinno: and if you read on, you'll see that the OP said he has a 40G tank ... far too small as long-term housing for all of these fish ... in fact, it's...

    Blue Ram dream turning into a nightmare

    my tap is 7.0, and it is very soft (due to a household water softener) ... that makes it very easy for me to lower Ph to 6.5 (or even lower) using minimal amounts of acid buffer I'm pretty sure it would be more difficult if my water were harder ... but as is, it is no problem at all ...

    Blue Ram dream turning into a nightmare

    I have wild-caught Ram, so I do use Seachem acid buffer to lower the Ph when I do water changes, I keep the ph around 6.5 ... works fine, and I use such a small amount of the buffer -- about 1/8 tspn -- that it lasts for years that being said, I'm sure I could stop doing this gradually and the...

    29Gallon Community

    Mikrogeophagus aren't really noted for their "hardiness", so that's not where I would look first ... maybe one of the laetacara species, like l. curviceps ... depending on how small is "small", you could also considser the Rainbow cichlid, h. multispinosa ... not exactly a dwarf, but is...

    Jaguar<->Lizard

    haven't bought lights from Catalina, but I have bought bulbs ... I think their bulbs are very good, and their customer service is very good ... when I had a question, they answered right away, and when a bulb broke, they replaced it right away ... no probs
