Nice pics everyone. Here's a few of mine.

Tank is 125. My puffer has let one goldfish and the 4 giant danios live with it for a about 9 months now. I kind of thought they would get eaten right away, but they didn't. Anyway, it ads some nice movement to the tank, and I just thought it was funny that these fish are doing so well for so...

Anyone else have giant danios in as dither fish with their fahaka's? I started with 4 and now have about 20 little giant danio fry swimming around the top of the tank. I kinda thought my puffer would eat the danios, but he doesn't seem interested so far and now they are breeding.

Makes me want a trimac!

Here's an update after a few months. I have moved the pleco in with my jaguar cichlid and vieja synspilum. One of the goldfish is still alive, as are 4 giant danios and a few algae eaters. He mostly just chills in his cave or buries himself in the sand, but springs to life if he thinks it...

Been a while since I've posted. Got a few new pics of the fishies so I thought I'd share. Not exactly sure what kind of Vieja it is, but have been told its possibly a "shine spot" syn or a hybrid.

I would agree that you are filling it a bit too much. What do you have at the end of the tubing going into the tank? One time I used an airstone, which worked great until it got plugged up. At least I was home when it popped, and everything in the tank survived.

Doesn't look like he misses any meals either.

I got a new phone today, a my touch 3g, which for me also means a new camera. got a couple good ones of my new fahaka. I can post pics of my other fish as well if anyone would like.

One girl I brought home one time thought it was an "obsession". That one obviously didn't work out. Most of my friends aren't interested, except for in my fahaka puffer. He is viewed as a pet by other people, where as the other fish are just seen as decorations.

Oh man, you've got to do that for more reasons than just the tank...Go for it!

Yep, just a clove of garlic from the grocery store is all you need. You can also check your grocery store for other kinds of goodies like freshwater shrimp/ crayfish, clams, muscles, crab legs, etc. Did you check the temp yet? One of my heaters shut off one time and i didn't realize it until...

I still have the two goldfish that came with my fahaka when I bought it. I even saw him bite one...he had it's whole head in its mouth, but he spit it out before he chomped down and hardly even scratched the goldfish. I guess they had the "finding nemo" talk or something.
