    It's on - Triggers

Yesterday I picked up a 4" Huma Huma and a 3" Niger - today - will hopefully add the clown. Some of my fears were immediately dispelled. The dwarf hawk went right after the niger - niger bite'm end of story. The mimic went after the huma - huma bite'm end of story. The large angel wants no parts...

    H. Malabaricus tank size..

Mine lived and grew quickly in 75 gal of water - the mala could not be cohabed - also 1 mala in 180 gal of water would be way too boring for me, they aren't very active fish and most stay around the 12 inch mark in captivity.

Current stock is a large Koran angel like 8" - 8" long horn cow that spits water all over the floors - 6" Yellow mimic...

    Feeding Armatus feeders for life?

The theory isn't really that sound at all - I've breed and sold numerous cichlids of numerous species - outta 100 fry your lucky to get 5 that actually grow to be healthy adults, yes you might get 20 that reach an inch and can be sold to fish stores but healthy adults no way.

Any theories on why scombs generally die after reaching 12" in captivity?

This is far from the 1st speculate why scombs die from sudden death syndrome and to be quite honest the theory was a combo of many of us - we speculated that water parameters need to change for scombs to breed - ie. breeding piranha you simulate dry and wet seasons to trigger the mating...
