Given he is only 5 incher - you might want to hold off tanning till he is 10-12 incher... the reason is their natural mature colors don't come out until 1-2 years old anyway.
Once you hit at least 1 year - tan-away!
Give it time - one thing I have learned over the years is to not over do the analysis of behavior (easier said than done!) if you are sure the water, feed, and fish are healthy.
Prolly needs to get used to enviro as many have said.

third session is going to be detailing of the fish and lotus outlines, and touching up the black shading. fourth and fith visit are going to be color. :popcorn:
