    The Farmer's Dog

Ouch! My wife set up the order so I have no idea what it costs. We have two small dogs.

    Shark ID

I disagree. With numerous shark species around Malaysia, it is very likely that the subject shark was caught locally. https://www.sharksider.com/sharks-in-malaysia/

    The Farmer's Dog

Anyone feed their dogs with this food? We just recently switched our dogs to it. Dogs seem to like it.

Consciousness a 'realistic possibility' in birds, fish, squid and bees, scholars say

The preferred way to cook lobster is to throw them live into a pot of boiling water.

    UV sterilizer

What would be a good UV sterilizer for a 125 gal outdoor pond? I've never used one before, but my pond water is turning green. How about something like this...

How does this tank look? 1000 gallon community dream tank.

In the long run, probably not. A 1000 gal tank, I'd put stingrays in.

I think inverts and small fish would eventually get eaten.

    American eels at Fish Story

Could be. I see U or V shaped bite marks as eels have a full set of teeth. A quick nip could show what you are seeing. Good to see they are eating in their new tank.

    American eels at Fish Story

I would not let the gulper loose. The marks on the eels don’t look like bite marks to me. These pics are what I see for bites. I catch eels in baited pots for study. I believe when multiple eels are confined in tight quarters, they get quarrelsome and bite one another.

    Killer Pothos!

Does your dog have access to the fish room when you are not there? You could install a baby gate to keep him out while not attended. I had pothos growing in my ray tank years ago. Two small dogs so no concern of them getting into it. Two cats, and I seem to remember one of them might have...

    American eels at Fish Story

Yes, mistaken identity. I noticed a few things that didn't look right for an American eel. 1). Location of the eye. With American eels, the corner of the mouth extends just beyond the rear edge of the eye. Mouth extends further back in Conger eels. 2) Insertion of the dorsal fin. Closer...

    Fish ate soft plastic lure.

American eel. I am doing a study on a pond, this eel was caught in a pot as part of the study. I have caught a few others that have regurgitated plastic worms. The eels find the soft plastic worms laying on the bottom, lost by fisherman. Some specimens are saved for ageing, sex...
