I have also heard that you can use vasoline, but it does break down the rubber seal. I have also heard about using chapstick, but that one Im not sure about. Eheim sells a silicone lube, but the bottle is super small and its expensive.

You could hook it up to a sponge filter and have some extra filtration. You can never have too much of that with a oscar.

OK I think I described it wrong, in the hole under the magnet part of the impeller is the top bushing. I found it when I pulled out the impeller. The shaft is still connected to the bushing inside the impeller cover. So Should I try to take all of these pieces apart and put it together the...

OK so I went and did some tinkering real fast and I got the impeller out. I found the other bushing, right where it should be. So I just need to figure out how the part in the first picture fits on to the part in the second. :headbang2 Im a little bit closer to having it working again!

coldwater fish, such as comets or rosy reds should NOT be fed to a oscar. Oscars are warm water fish, and they cant digest coldwater fish fat. They are used to very lean fish. I would avoid any store bought feeder fish, they usually carry nasty parasites.
