    Most people just use standard t8's to grow their plants so even if these aren't the right spectrum they should still help =p Also Picture with cheapo DIY cardboard and aluminum tape reflector For some reason the camera picks it up much brighter than it actually is. Infrared light Maybe?

    Wiring is a mess because Its how crap I am. I just know PC wiring because its easy =) My dad is an electrician, but w/e my cheapo reflector covers up the mess until I can find something better as a reflector. and they're used for moonlight all the time just google it

    it says that each bulb produces 28,000-30,000 cd/m. I'm not sure about them and my plants, so thats what I'm testing. I made a Cheapo DIY reflector from cardboard and aluminum tape and to tell the truth, it isn't as bright as i thought it would be. But hopefully the spectrum of light is enough

    I was originally going to buy strips of 250 Led christmas lights from HD for 25$ each, but for that price it would take $100+ to get the same amount that you have.. Glad I chose the Cathode route =)

    After searching on google I have alot more confidence in this DIY as people have had much success growing some err rather illegal plants.... Hopefully same results in an aquarium?
