OB Peacock - pretty common, so not really worth a lot, imo. Nice color though. :)

    DISCUS HAVE SQUIGLIES

If your aquascaping can handle it and you don't upset the parents too much, I'd put an eggcrate divider in the tank to keep the others from snacking. As mentioned above, the fry will need to feed off the parents' slime coat for a while before they accept other food sources. Once they start...

    Victoria cichlids Community?

I know that the elongated types (Matubi Hunter, etc) can be kept with some of the more standard red ones with little concern of hybridization. I'm thinking of doing the same with some fish I picked up at the ACA convention last week. I am hoping that A. nubilia is also different enough to toss...

New fish!! Need to I.D PLEASE!! Thank you!

If it's pure, I would say some sort of Copadichromis.

    70G tank

IMO, 75 (or 70 in your case) is the best size for a nice mbuna display tank. 3-4 species of more mild mbuna or 2-3 of larger/more aggressive types. Groups of 6-8 for most species.

    Id help aulonocara nyassae

You guys are straight up smoking crack. Scianochromis fryeri does not have any red behind the gill plate. If so, please direct me to a picture from a reputable site or a book with one that does. It is a peacock/fryeri hybrid.

    Acei cichlids

Yeah, they'll do that. It's a dominance thing.

    Cichlids in a 36g bowfront

Firemouths should be in a 55 I think. For new world, convicts or chanchitos, Gymnogeos, Biotidoma, Rams, angels, festivum.... long list. I think that tank is 30" long. If your looking to go African, I'd go either a single group of smaller peacocks, group of dwarf mbuna or go Tangyanikan.

Great stocking and gorgeous aquascaping. :)

    Frontosa compatability with other africans

I used to have a single frontosa in a 4' 110 gallon mixed Malawi male tank. He fared alright.

    Mbuna for 40G?

Those two are known to interbreed. Also, red zebras are pretty rough and will outgrow a 40.

That actinic lighting makes it pretty tough.

Lake Tanganyika in 40 breeder ?

6 (unsexed) Julidochromis is good for a start, but like the other poster said, you're going to want to end up with only a pair of them plus the calvus. 150# of sand might be a bit much for a 40B.

    Keeping tropheus

+1. Not sure of the footprint of your 65 (tall 55 maybe?), but I've got two types of trophs in a 75. That's sort of pushing it. Unless your tank is 4'x18", I'd stick with one group.

    55 gallon Tanganyika setup

I'd do one of each. So long as open water = Cyprichromis. Check out the 75 in my signature. Cyps leptosoma Utinta, Paracyp nigripinnis, Gold head comps. (Te callochromis were overkill)

    28 gallon bowfront tank build

Doesn't matter how they're planted. Like I said, any plants that put down roots in the substrate will be uprooted by Africans. Looks good though. :)

    Dimidochromis Compressiceps Experience

Well, in terms of "top predators" and their aggression levels, they're more the exception than the rule. Aristos, buccos, tyrannos, nimbos..... all some pretty rude fish.
