    Reptile Rescue

I would be interested in helping you out since I am in PA. If you have anyone from Pa needing rescue, it might be easier for someone close to get to them, than having to make a trek to another state.

    Single fish in 75 size?

Well, with my Midas going bonkers, I have 2 options... move him to a 75, or give him away. I posted him in the for sale section... for free. In the mean time, do you think he would be ok in a 75 alone? He's like 10". I am assuming yes.. but I will admit, that all my big fish are in...

    10" Male Midas 17055 PU/Meet

As much as I hate to do this, I have to let Jim.. my rescued Male Midas go to a better home. He lived peacefully in a SA/CA community 180, (with Jag, Festae, RTM) but, he's decided that he no longer wants to be nice. The only fish he tolerates is my male Festae. I don't like that I have to...

I have a male Carpintis... 5", and only 5-6 months old! That's what happens when you grow them in a 240, and they eat mainly shrimp! He's father to 2 spawns already with his 3" female!

    Noob Breeding Question

Ok, well, the eggs have hatched, and they are free swimming. Mom and Dad are doing a great job, but they are having sooo many that they can't keep them all in the same group.. so I used my python and sucked them up into a bucket, and they are growing out in another 20 gallon tank. They...

Has anyone else besides me noticed the rise of "OUT OF HOBBY" sales

yepp, and some of us just can't justify spending the money when there are other things needed, or wanted that would be better enjoyed. I don't want to not have fish.. And no matter what, I will NEVER get rid of my koi. But I can do without my tropicals.. well, most of them.

Has anyone else besides me noticed the rise of "OUT OF HOBBY" sales

I just sold 10 tanks today! :) And I can't set up auto water changes because my tanks are not in 1 centralized area. I have tanks in the middle room of my basement, but also in another room of the basement but they are both on opposite sides of the room.. I also have my koi tank plumbed into...

I am starting a new fish/aquarium store and need some help / opinions, please help

I would run sponge filters on your smaller centralized tanks. You use less electricity.. you won't spread disease.. allowing you to only have to treat the tanks that need treated. I have a racking system in my home, and I use sponge filters on them. It's been a life saver for a lot of my fish...

Don't worry about it man.. I can't make an auto water change system either. Water changes take up a good chunk of my time as well. I also know that from having so many tanks.. some fish become more appealing, and then the less appealing tanks end up getting the slack on them. :(
