I've had very docile dovii during growouts. Unless breeding or having a specific enemy I've had them coexist peacefully to about 12". At that time I've lost large cichlids. But I have had a male dovii for years not care about small cichlids in there as long as there was no temptations to breed.

I knew what I was buying but I've fought multiple people, if not overwhelming saying rtm. I saw a dovii and wanted it , everyone around me was saying it's a rtm and that's what it was labeled as. I'm not mad at all

I don't understand what your asking? I bought in person. I wanted a dovii and noticed it in there labeled a RTM, no offense but you don't understand what I was saying and went left field with it. I knew what I was talking about, knew what it was and was receiving wrong info from everyone...

it stays in a black background tank and black sand. It's keeping dark and in the shadows in a peaceful tank. Just recently purchased. I wanted a dovii and thought I scored a gold dovii. The whole tank were all dovii to me.

I just got these two recently from a special request at a local store. They're kept in a spare oddball tank of stuff. But it's a good temperament tank.

Male red Texas / red Dragon flowerhoen male and a female yellow and white Red devil. There's a cloud of fry swimming by the pot.

I really havent seen a lot of these as adults, im curious as to their growth rates and if anyone actively keep full grown adults, thank you.

I originally purchased festaes to find they were actually mayans. The similarities are wjen they are young. still wanting a festae we purchased a true festae and these all live together. Our mayan bred with both our female festae and female dovii and we simply fed the fry back to the tank later...
