Those are not rtm's. Rtm's have a more elongated body. Those look very wide. I'll post a pix of my pair from Rapps soon as I get their breeding tank finished.

I turned off the input valve on my FX5 before feeding this morning. Apparently, I forgot to turn it back on. Came home from work and saw 30 gallons of water on the floor. I have no idea where the water was coming from. FX5 was completely dry. Any ideas?

+1. Mbunas will greet you and beg for food as soon as they see you. Stock it up a little more and you won't need dithers.

Mix them if you want. I have a red rainbow tropheus mixed with my mbuna/haps/peacocks/tangs cichlid tank. I'm only missing Vitorian. Careful though, tropheus are mean.

Anybody with this problem? My 150 gallon tank is at a steady 82 degrees with a Coralife 36w Turbo Twist, no heater. Way too hot to my liking. Is it the bulb or the sterilizer itself that's causing this?

They are nasty, nasty beast, one of the meanest fish I've owned. I have no experience in breeding them, but chances are you'll end up with one living and the rest dead.

That depends on the female. Mine usually holds for about 3 weeks. If she doesn't spit after 3 weeks, I strip her. Plus, I can't stand seeing her go without food for that long.

Just stick all 3 of them in there, provide good diets and clean water, and they'll do the rest. Pretty easy. You'll know the female is holding when you see a big bulge in her mouth.

Got UV running on my display as well. Makes my water crystal clear. Buy it, you'll love it!

I should have clarified. I don't hear it unless stick my head inside the cabinet, same as you guys. But when I do, the xp3 is a lot noisier than 2 FX5's combined. Or maybe it's just me!
