Clown loaches growth rate difference - Why?

Nice videos! Interesting to watch them. Dont you feel like looking at your loaches through a viewing pane or something, from a side angle?

    Fake Tetrabits on the Market?

Yeah, he most probably does that. Else he wouldnt be able to sell me the cans that cheap. Why wouldnt you use stuff from tetra as a staple? I too mix what feed my fishes. But my bottom dwellers eat a lot of tetrabits.

    Fake Tetrabits on the Market?

Oh, and to add, a seller in a wholesale market in the past once asked me back empty tetrabits cans and offered me a good discount on a new can in exchange. I knew something was fishy and have heard about these fake products from quite a few hobbyists.

    Fake Tetrabits on the Market?

Thanks for raising up a valid point Drstrangelove. Very interesting links. I was ignoring the typo till my water turned reddish recently. We have mailed the company about this issue, lets see how they respond. But wanted to check if the same typo exists on the batches that went out to Europe and...

    Fake Tetrabits on the Market?

Guys, I recently got a can of tetrabits and noticed that it had a spelling error. The word 'radiant' was spelt as 'rediant'. I find it difficult to believe that a brand like tetra would let that error happen. I am from the city of Mumbai, India and I checked with a few other hobbyists and...

300 gallon tank weight in concrete building

I stay in the second floor of a concrete building that is 6 floors high. The first floor is the parking lot. I was wondering if I could keep a 300 gallon tank along a wall that has a supporting concrete beam along its length and be ok, ie not have the floor collapse through? Currently I have a...

any one here with butterfly loaches

Lovely video! I am planning to do a manifold tank design too soon. Just have powerheads on one end currently. Wont having the powerheads low and aimed at a rock help better?

    11 Indians

My usual food plan is a mix of any high quality sinking carnivore pellets like hikari, tetra bits + algae wafers + veggies like cucumber & blanched kale + soaked freeze dried bloodworms/tubifex/shrimp etc that sink to the bottom. Mixing it up helps a lot. But I dont feed NLS because it isnt...

How much would you pay for this clown loach?

Oh, looks good! Thanks for the update. Yes, either the photo was of the loach when he/she was younger or a different loach. Sucks when suppliers are not true to the fullest. The stripes on him seem to have faded a bit. Nevertheless an awesome fish.

Clown loaches growth rate difference - Why?

The smaller ones are probably Danny devitos and the larger ones that grow fast like the big show. Genes, sex, personality that may affect feeding behavior, etc etc. I have observed such variations too.

New baby clown loach - Am I dealing with a sick loach?

I think youre doing a great job caring for them. As long as he isnt showing symptoms, and is eating well, I wouldnt treat him except just keeping the heater on the warmer side. Good feeding and water changes should have him in ship-shape soon. The prazi treatment that youre doing should be fine...

any one here with butterfly loaches

Nice, do share some pics if possible. I added 4 more gastromyzon species to the existing 5 sewellia species. I need to upgrade the tank though. They are in a species only tank as of now.

Looks good! Keep the tank heated above 85 if possible, atleast for the initial period. These guys are ich magnets. I feed mine tetra bits, almost power feed them multiple times a day with daily water changes, and theyre fattening up slowly. They were as skinny as yours when i got them a couple...

any one here with butterfly loaches

Hey, I have 5 of them in a tank to themselves. I feed them crushed Hikari Cichlid Gild, Tetra Bits and intend to get some sinking algae wafers too. The trick is crushing the pellets, so that the fragments are pretty small. These guys are used to eating the algae and micro organisms that grow...
