    Question about my cleaner shrimp

I have never bothered. The rest of the CUC typically take care of it.

    Predators that ignore Inverts

Have you considered lionfish ? They do not bother snails or crabs, but will make a meal out of shrimp in time

    Deworming flowerhorn

Maybe just let the Prazi-Pro run it's course before dosing other meds. I have found that sometimes it takes a few days (close to a week) to truly be effective I never have been a big fan of using more than one med at a time. Just my experiences tho

What not to post. Pls read

There are lots of great deals in both Edmonton and Calgary from time to time. I'm sure you will find another good deal in time Sorry about your bad luck

    200 gallon fowlr

I would suggest some of the medium sized larger bodied angle fish, like a majestic, queen, or scribbled angelfish A FOWLR that size really does give you options for a lot of the more interesting fish

Blue lobster caught in Nova Scotia

Cool looking little guy I did not think you would find blue ones that far north

Live rock in a cold water tank?

It should work. After all, there is bacteria in northern and southern areas of the oceans were the temp gets pretty cold I'm not to sure of what you could stock in it tho. It might be a better idea to put a heater in the set-up so it might be easier to find fish from a LFS that way

    My First SW tank

Haven’t post here in a while so I thought I would share some new pics. Here’s what the tank looks like today. I took this pic a few weeks ago. I also moved the BTA so I could make room for a new red carpet anemone.

    BTA acting weird

Sorry to hear about that I would run some carbon in your tank (if not already) just incase. Sometimes, things like this can happen reguardless of everything we do

    FOWLR Setup ?'s

I would add about 4 or 5 korilla fours to a 125. If you have really good water movement, the live rock can do a better job of keeping the water safe. There should only be a a few very small deadspots in the tank (if any). Good water movement with lots of rock will go an extermely long way to...

    quick question about lighting....

I have a very similar fixture. On a 55 gallon that would be considered some where inbetween moderate to high lighting. IMO, super blue bulbs are better than actinic as the coral can use more the light from a super blue and you still get the benifits or reduced risk of nasty algae. You have...

    Distilled water vs RO

+1 to the above I live in a city with excellent water quality. I personally know a few people using tap water for their reef tanks. Everything in the tank is thriving and healthy. I use RO water but that was mostly because I found a great deal on a RO unit. As Fleshy suggests, get your...

    NEED HELP GROWING CORALINE ALGAE!

Just to echo a few other here, I would also suggest checking your alk and mag to verify they are within the normal range. I had good coraline growth starting a few weeks ago (after about six months) with only about 25% of the rock in the tank being live rock. I also keep my temp at 79F.
