    RTCxTSN grow out tank

Thanks! Ideally I'd like it to be 8x4' but I may be limited to 6x4' due to basement restrictions. If I end up with male - female pair I'll probably sell the third one in the future. I'll keep you guys posted on the progression of it all!

    RTCxTSN grow out tank

My first tank after leaving the hobby for a year due to my job. I acquired three of these hybrids along with their tank mates, a group of 10 small Uaru cichlids and 2 Geophagus. Wooden frame pond being built before the tank mates become lunch. Catfish are eating tilapia fillets and shrimp.

Sorry for the low quality pic. The eggs are those little orange circles on the rock just below her. I havent got a spare tank for the bass, I may remove the rock and try to hatch them myself

    Hoplarchus Psittacus - EGGS!

My big male and smaller female finally paired up. They are aggressively defending these orange eggs. Any recommendations as to how I should attempt to save the fry? The tank also includes 4 hungry peacock bass.

    True Parrots! - Hoplarchus Psittacus

ive had these guys for almost a year now, theyre a little over 12". The male does chase the female, but he doesnt seem to be harassing her too bad. She is left alone for the most part and her fins are barely damaged so no need for separation thus far. But I can agree that my big male is...

    True Parrots! - Hoplarchus Psittacus

heck yeah! the red eyes contrasting the blue colour is what really does it for me.. They are not shy, once they get used to movement around the tank you can push your face right up to the glass and they will just stare at you lol, they are actually pretty bold. That being said, my "male" really...

    True Parrots! - Hoplarchus Psittacus

Well, this is my 180g and my 3 parrots.. The two adults look to be male and female based on aggression, and as for the smaller one I haven't got a clue but "he" doesn't seem to be very aggressive. They are my favorite cichlid I have kept yet, including Cichla. Using filter peat and lots of...

Miami FL Peacock Bass Fishing Pics!

we started on a very small lake, and the only luck we had was underneath a wooden dock. Most of the fishing was on the small man made canals around miami in between the roads and even between people's houses. We fished along the banks of these small canals/rivers thats where all the bass were...

Miami FL Peacock Bass Fishing Pics!

Took a trip to florida to see some wildlife after christmas.. We caught another big bass, but his mouth was deformed (looked like his bottom jaw was once broken in half) so we didnt put him in a pic unfortunately. Lucky for me and my dad,we had a fishing guide who showed us his "Secret Spots"...
