I use to add this in my tank years ago and my fish stayed healthy then. Now I just put a large piece of driftwood and it seems to do the same.

i picked up the paroon this evening at the airport and is doing ok. i have him temporarily in a 55 gallon with my 7 inch gulper. i'll probably transfer him in my 265 community tank in a few days. thanks a lot sylvia and thanks to george of shark aquarium for the help in shipping the paroon.

i used to have a florida gar that grew up to 16" from 4" in 8 mos. i fed him live nightcrawlers everyday injected with liquid fish vitamins ( a few drops only 3 times a week). i even gave him live rosy reds, as a treat, once every two weeks like about 20 pcs which he would consume in a day.
