i keep my fire eel with around 10 clown loaches and have not had any problems yet! The only fish i have had a problem with is my blood parrots, they seemed to compete too much for the night crawlers. but my cls usually dont pay the eel any attention. just have lots of hiding spots!

i keep mine around 80-82 after fighting ich before I just left it there and all the fish seem happy and growing quickly! and since then no ich or any type of parasite problems. as far as i know there native waters are usually from 78-86. just be sure the tank mates can handle the temps!
