Growing out some dovii again to get a pair. Got 12 3/4" babies and a 2". Last time I had dovii growouts they were from guapotemel's monster dovii that has now passed a while ago, but this was years ago. Can't wait to see what I come up with.

My black aro got it's fins beat up at a small size and never really filled back in. If I trim them will they grow back full?

Sounds good. Just letting ya know. I use em on my glass tanks all the time. I scratched up a acrylic bathtub pretty good once so personally won't use em on acrylic any more, I leave that job to the plecos.

Magic erasers are abrasive, while you might not see scratches with water in the tank, I assure you the tank is being scratched.

I can ditch the bichirs, the ck is extremely food aggressive, the aro I could see a possible problem with food. Is there a magic number to keeping cichla? Maybe I could do three bass. I've only kept pbass up to 6-8" in the past.

I'm going to order a 8x4x2.5 aquarium soon and want to grow some cichla out for it. I currently have a black aro, clown knife, oscar, common pleco for algea control, some bichirs. Would these be ok with cichla, and could I add say 5 cichla for said tank?

Carbon filters remove less chlorine etc. At faster flow rates. Need to research the filters you are using at desired gpm.

I'm looking for pics of 8' tanks that are 24" tall and 30" tall, preferably with large fish in them. I'm trying to decide how tall to order a 8x4 tank

Have an overflow with 3 1" bulkheads set up as a bean animal right now, wanting to add another filter sock in my sump. Could I convert to dual Herbie without fighting adjusting two gate valves on one overflow? I believe I will be fine but looking for reassurance.

Hmm wonder if you could keep a blind dovii in a community...

This space is 8'7"x50" so will fit the tank great. 125 is the only tank I have, wife said no more than one lol.
