    I would def go for mahseer. Don't know how cold it gets there, but there is a guy on here that has some in a pond and I think he lives in Cal. Or also maybe some mosquito fish as fodder and also maybe a lone muskee or bowfin. Oh yeah, and then of course the notorius elopichtys bambusa.

    Hey Oddball It's (Paedocypris progenetica), right? First thought it was the sinarapan (Mistichthys luzonensis), but saw they have two fins in the dorsal area.

    Would love to own a mahseer. Another beasty that is also really cool is the mangar (luciobarbus esocinus) and they look very simmilar to the mahseer. Somewhere on the net I've heard these guys are known for plucking birds from the surface and that dictators in their region used to feed them...

    Danube Roach (Rutilus virgo pigus) No come on guys. Try and get mine, you already know it's genus. It's also invasive in some parts of Asia.

    Close, same genus. They are often used in fish farms and grow quite large, (the guy/girl in the pic was about 1meter long) up to about 40 and 50kg.
