I've seen it evolve over the years. In the earlier days ~2009-2014, youtube fishkeepers were kind of a small friendly community but there were only a couple of people (I think UaruJoey was the biggest) making actual quality content. The rest was just shaky point and shoot camera tank updates...

Yeah, for the ATF, I have always seen people get the little ones and start to grow them out but to be honest I think have have yet to see any full grown ones thriving in an aquarium.

Here's my green phantom. I just got him a month ago or so and in over a decade of keeping fish he's the first "fancy" pleco that I have purchased... I have come to the realization that I have been missing out this whole time.

Cool setups and welcome to the forum! What type of polypterus are you looking to house in the 75-90 gallon? There are alot of cool upper jaws that would work great in a tank that size!

The petco closest to me is a disaster, I am not sure how they are still operating because I have never seen more than two employees at a time and all the fish that they do have (mostly platies, glofish, etc) are in bad shape every time I have gone in. It's a shame because I pass it on the way...

Relatively slow growers and they are not very active at all. You will get years out of the 120 and in fact I wouldn't put a small one in anything larger than that because as @wednesday13 said, you can actually drown them.

It is impossible to give a real suggestion without knowing the type of turtle, tank size, setup, etc. That said, for small turtles I have had luck with a school of larger tetras/danios and for larger turtles giant danios. If the turtle gets one every once in a while it's not a big deal.

That is interesting, I would have assumed that Covid-19 would of had the opposite effect with people getting more into the hobby, staying home more often and possibly having more time.

A 180 would be pushing it too without supports. The main idea is to run it parallel to the joists and make sure to put it against a load bearing wall. Even with that, I would personally add some type of support for anything over 100 gallons... Here is a really good read...
