preventive medication

Hi, we're adding a new juvenile Bichir into our tank so we set him/her up a quarantine tank. We got him/her from a trusted supplier but we just want to be on the safe side. May I ask what preventive medication I should apply into the quarantine and main tank with our other small Bichirs? Thanks...
