Hello. I’m new to the cichlid world. I’m just wondering what kind of stuff to use on the bottom. I currently use a mix of small rocks and smaller pebbles. Also, what should I do for a 2 week ish... trip?

So I'm going to be leaving out of town for 9 days and am wondering what I'm going to do with my pea puffers. Can they go 9 days without food? I don't want them to starve! Should I just get a bunch of snails and throw them in their tank? Will they eat them sparingly? Any other ideas?
