Haven't posted on the forum in a while now.
I haven't been keeping up with weekly water testing, but have been doing water changes.
I just tested this morning after about a month of no tests.
My ammonia, nitrite and nitrate are all reading 0 and my pH level has dropped right down to 4.5/5.
All of my fish seem healthy apart from the scissor tails that are hiding constantly.
My clown loaches are clicking like mad when eating cucumber/algae pellets.
And the other fish all seem to be fine.
I haven't changed the water in about 2 weeks and need to top up the water in the tank.
I have a little bit of algae growing on the slate, but not a lot and no live plants.

My question is can you have 0 nitrate?
If I top up the water in the tank, will I have a major pH increase?
Last pH reading was 6. Would it be too much of a difference?
Are there any precautions I should take when adding the water?
