I have a little one and a half gallon octagon tank filtration is under gravel and it has an incandecent light on top.. I'm wondering what fish I can put in it that will survive and where I'm not loosing fish all the time so on and so fourth !

Not sure anything would really survive in a tank that small for life??? since you'd need a pretty small fish...

Very few commonly available fish will thrive in such a small tank. Perhaps a betta, killifish or male guppy?

i might not be too much of an expert in the matter, but theres not a whole lot you can do with a 1 1/2 gallon, but i would suggest maybe a few small cherry shrimp or something like that

peapuffer maybe and thats as small of a fish as I can think of, or sea monkeys =)

Go to your local pond or lake, scoop up a big wad of plants and mud at the shore, plop it in there with gentle aeration and watch the show.

Dwarf Puffer/Pea Puffer won't work in that small a tank... even a singleton needs a min. of a 5 gallons plus decor...

you can probably put a few white clouds in there, and avoid having to use a heater even...but that would still be quite a bioload for such a tank
