Im no ray expert but I think they are just P. reticulatus with more red in them. I see them at LFS all the time as red caquita or something like that. Just a tip...they sell for $150-250 around me so make sure your supplier isnt ripping you off.

We got in a 9-10" female "Red" and Miles posted stating that he belived her to be a True Reticulatus, whereas most retics that come in are not True Ones as their patterns change as they grow. She was patterend the same as the Male here. I sold her for $275 and was told that was under retail for a true Retic. I got these as a pair (Not mated as of yet), so naturally they cost me a little. If they end up being a mated pair, I would say my price is still under retail for a mated pair of true retics. Someone correct me if I am wrong as I am still learning about rays.

I am a bit confused on the Reticulata issue myself.

I had hypothesized that the retics that we have all been seeing lately were actually P. Magdelenae, and the fish you have for sale is the true P. Reticulata.. but after researching the Magdelenae more, I discovered that they are ALL P. Reticulata, and they come in a number of different color morphs.

Just FYI ~ My largest female ray has really taken a liking to krill, and she is starting to get a very reddish/copper hue to her under-patten.. while my male has a black under-pattern. Could have something to do with food source/collection zone in the wild?
