I guess megapixels arn't everything. I get pretty decent shots with this old Olympus. No flash on either. Fish does have to be still though, and the old male Oblongum loves to pose. Not bad for a dinasaur.

Amazing 1.3 mp shot.

Megapixels are probably the most over-hyped camera "necessity" (unless you're making very large prints).

Good shot!

Totally agree!

Nice picture Bill! I have an olympus P&S too but I'm not very good with it.

ps - To the right and far left of your Oblongum are those Hyphessobrycon colombianus? Do you mind sharing your opinion on them? I have a school of 20 and love them.

Thanks. I have 8 Columbians in the 75g. I am very happy with them. Not the best schoolers. No nipping though. Biggest is 2.5"+.

It's just a point and shoot. No macro setting but takes awesome closeups. I was told it has a good glass lens as oposed to newer cameras with plastic lenses. Its an Olympus D-450. If you can find one on Ebay they are like $10. I bought an extra since I like it so much. It uses Smartmedia card which are hard to find.

It uses 4 AA batteries and eats them up fast. Rechargables are reccomended.
