Hello everyone,

When i first started my native tank, the 75 gallon, i realized i got a little too excited about going out and catching my own fish...After accepting that having 4 bluegills and 2 pumpkinseeds was ludicrous in a 75 gallon tank, i released the majority of the fish i caught back to the river and kept the ones i liked the best. Now I'm down to 1 male bluegill (6") and 1 male pumpkinseed (5")...I did some fishing today and caught a species of fish I have have never caught before in my towns local river...i asked about it on this forum and was told it was a Red Breasted Sunfish. Anyway, I added that to my tank today so now I'm at 1 bluegill, 1 pseed, and 1 red breasted sunfish (its 4" and I believe its a female after looking at some pics of them). The bluegill and Pseed didn't give the new guy/girl any problems and shes already eating mealworms. Will this stocking combination be alright for the long term? Or is it still too many? I've been told green sunfish would be good for my tank size and beleive me i wanted green sunfish but i just can't find or catch them anywhere in any of the local rivers or ponds that ive tried at, so im happy with the fish i currently have. I hope this set up will be alright, its been workin well so far and i love the bluegill, who i've named "Moose" lol. He's the most interactive and follows me around the tank and eats right from my hand! Really very cool fish. Let me know what you guys think!

i know this, they came home with me but i never put them into my tank, i brought most of them back to the river and the ones i decided to keep then went into my tank
