Day tank arrives across 10 miles of Pacific, mid Dec 2018

Early January 2019, plants collected from Lake Gatun, along with @25 mosquito fish from the lake to begin cycle.

late January cycle apparently almost complete, a half dozen @ 3" Andinoacara coerleopunctatus cichlids , a Pleco, and 2 Roeboides tetras were added, all caught on mainland Panama.
Tank is filtered by 2 sumps, one with only biomedia, the other an algae scrubber with mechanical media, various biomedia, and sitting in direct sun to promote the algae growth.

Early August, an earth quake created a leak, tank needed to be torn down a repaired.

Dec 2019, tank still leaks a little, because of regular earth quake activity, but because its out side, just a normal part of life here.
Large clamps added for security.

Recently added 3 water lilies, and a goby, it was caught here on Isla Taboga bringing the 180 gal tank stocking level to about my preferred max of 16 fish (most are now 3-5") although the Goby has gone from 5 to 8" in just a couple months, and may soon need larger quarters.

Besides the leak, and return drip that provide constant minor water change , I try to do moderate daily water changes using old fish water to flush toilets, and water the garden plants.
Nitrate has so far been undetectactable throughout the year, probably due to the large aquatic, and terrestrial plantings, and algae scrubber sump, along with the water changes.
