Ok, the idea here is to come up with 10 albums that have had some importance to you over the years, be it in developing your musical tastes or for more personal reasons. The catch is that you can only spend 10 minutes thinking about it, so the first ones that come to your mind.
They dont need to be ranked, and you dont have to explain, though it could be interesting.
Here's mine
1. The Wall - Pink Floyd
I dont think I'd be alive today if it werent for this album. Seriously.
2. Americas Most Wanted - Ugly Kid Joe
The beginnings of my obsession with metal at the tender age of 8
3. Black Sabbath - Black Sabbath
Not my favorite Sabbath album but my first, and I havent been the same since
4. Master of Puppets - Metallica
Bought the tape when I was 10 or so, another life changing moent
5. From Your Grave - The Absence
The whole reason I'm into modern metal
6. Vulgar Display of Power - Pantera
More early tastes of metal
7. Smash - The Offsrping
Not something I listen to much anymore but when it came out this was what everyone I knew listened to, so its pretty nostalgic
8. Ensiferum - Ensiferum
When I learned just how epic metal can be
9. OCMS - Old Crow Medicine Show
Reminded me that bluegrass can be awesome
10. Firewood - Witchcraft
I've listened to this album for days on end and probably will quite a few more times before I can even think about getting sick of it.

Its something most anyone is passionate about and can hold a "heated" debate without getting angry like religion or politics, so yeah.

I could only think up 5 in the time alloted haha. In order of importance to me..

5. Train of Thought - Reflection Eternal
4. Nevermind - Nirvana
3. Something About Airplanes - Death Cab for Cutie
2. Jack Johnson - Brushfire Fairytales
1. Pearl Jam - Yield

Ok here's my list

1) Jimmy Hendrix "Are you experienced?". I bumped with the incredible things this genius musician did in a time when no pedals or effects were readily available. It got to me as if I met someone new that felt like an old friend.

2) Pink Floyd "Wish you were here"
The first time I listened to this album, there were three of us sitting in silence all the way through. Changing from side A to side B we went speechless. Never heard music like this before in my life.

3) Pink Floyd "Dark side of the Moon". I learned about this album before Wish you were here; the poetry in its lyrics (there's someone in my head but it's not me), as well as the sound effects (Money, Time, Gig in the sky) in otherwise simple yet interesting musical proposal (7/4 compass in Money)

4) Pink Floyd "The wall". This was as close as I could get to catch a Pink Floyd album as it was introduced into the market, I learned of The Wall in 1981, just two years after its release. I went to the first hour of the first day the film make it to my town. In the midst of existential crisis of adolescence...

5) Pink Floyd "The final cut". This was the first time I experienced the release of a Pink Floyd album in real time. This album was a snapshot of the present day (at the moment) of the world we were living, with the lingering presence of post world war II cold war (paranoid eyes) and related nuclear paranoia(two suns in the sunset). It had the real names of real persons in power at the moment of its release.

6) Lynyrd Skynyrd "Greatest Hits". After listening to this album I went to get every single LP from them. Free bird became a personal anthem.

7) Bob Dylan "Greatest Hits, vol. 1". So there was much more than Blowing in the wind. Everybody must get stoned? and of all the tracks in this album Subterranean Homesick Blues is my favorite.

8) Janes Joplin "Greatest Hits". "It's all the same f***ing day man!". I fell in love with this woman at first sight.

9) Led Zeppelin "Led Zeppelin IV". My intro into Led Zep albums was this one. I just came from seeing the movie as one of the High Schools in my city presented it to raise money for their prom. I was baffled beyond belief as I entered the world of Led Zep.

10: The Beatles "White Album". This particular album was my move from the music of the mid 70's into the 60's.
